I am listening to Can Cladders and enjoying it more than ever: quirky, clever and lovely as all Llamas albuns are.
I just read the "Cookie Bay" interpretation post and it got me thinking about my other favourite Llamas track that happens to be BACH ZE! (or Bach Zé, as I think it was meant to be).
So, the questions that boggle my mind right now, as many times before, are:
1) Is the "Ze" a reference to Tom Zé the Brazilian singer-songwriter? I read somewhere that Sean/The Llamas have a certain fondness for Tom Zé. Is it true?
2) What's "Bach Ze" and the lyrics on this track about, generally?
3) How did Sean develop his bossa nova-ish string strumming technique?
