Hi guys and gals
well I thought I better thank Sean and the lads for the gig and his kind support. My elder brother had "Man of the world " Pete Green plus "Brothers in Arms" Dire Straits playing last monday.........very good stuff.
My brother was a huge Chuck Berry fan (as is BWilson was) and a big Rolling Stones fan........
Anyway euh ????the songs at last weeks gig were as I noted them
Doo Wop Property/Harpers Romo/Bach Ze/Triads/Go to Montecido/Old Springtown/Leaf and Lime/Nomads/Glidetime/Calloway/Three Point Scrabble/Rollin'/Rotary Hop/Track Goes By/Passing Bell/Campers in Control/Janet Jangle
I note a very similar set to that done in Bremen on Vier radio in 2008.
New album hopes........euh..?more great original tunes...hopefully no trite nor lightweight affairs....variety as in Hawaii.....concept/theme like on side two of Beet,Maize and Corn maybe ????maybe a few
more female vocals........more strings(like Holly Hills or High on the Chalk...but not to close to Fawlty Towers !)/brass ...yes definitely!!!.......a bit more Steely Dan tempo............or should I say Checkin in Checkin out tempo.....
Open up your own hearts and minds guys....maybe even a ballad!!!!!!Smile ...!!!!!
Still I guess I'm thankful for the present.Hey it would be nice to hear some guest invites on the album like Tim Gane?Louise May?......
Anyway its the season to be merry and goodwill to all human kind....so Happy New Year
