MOJO's Danny Eccleston gives 'nuff respect:

Great write up - thanks for posting.

I was 29 when Gideon Gaye came out and seriously stuck in my listening habit.  And this is the record that took me into a new and different musical world.   It led directly to (almost) everything I listened to for the next ten years.  In short, it changed my life as both a listener and a musician.

Still gives me a thrill when I hear it.

Thanks Llamas...

Daniel - I would say that 'Gideon Gaye' influenced my tastes massively as well. You say that it changes your musical tastes - i'd be very interested to hear what you listened to as a result of 'Gideon Gaye'. What records did it turn you on to?
